Why am I not eligible? (Amazon)

You may not be eligible to enroll in 9amHealth if you do not meet the program's criteria. To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

General Eligibility:

  • You must be enrolled in Amazon medical benefits through Cigna, Premera, or Aetna.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You can be either an Amazon employee or a dependent of someone insured by Amazon.

Medical Criteria:

  1. Group 1 (BMI ≥ 35):
    • You must have a BMI of 35 or higher and at least two or more weight-related conditions, such as:
      • High blood pressure (hypertension)
      • High cholesterol (dyslipidemia)
      • Obstructive sleep apnea (sleep disorder)
      • Heart disease
      • Metabolic-associated liver dysfunction
      • Prediabetes
    • You must have been employed at Amazon for at least 90 days.
  2. Group 2 (BMI ≥ 27 and Cardiovascular Conditions):
    • You must have a BMI of 27 or higher and one of the following cardiovascular conditions:
      • A history of a heart attack
      • A history of a stroke
      • Peripheral artery disease (PAD)
      • Congestive heart failure (CHF)
    • The 90-day employment requirement does not apply to this group.

If you do not meet these criteria, you may not be eligible for enrollment in 9amHealth. If you are unsure if you meet the above criteria or have a history of the conditions listed above, we are happy to try and help you.
